Repose Terms of Use
Effective September 12, 2026. Repose is made by Lucent Enterprises Ltd. ("Lucent", "we"), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Questions: contact@lucententerprises.com.
In short
- Apple's standard licence governs the app; these terms add what is specific to the Repose service.
- Results are AI-generated visual ideas, not plans. Check them against the real room before you change anything.
- Your photos stay yours, and so do the results.
- Every new install includes three free designs. Plans and packs are bought through Apple, which handles billing, cancellation and refunds.
1. The agreement
Repose is distributed through the App Store under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, with Lucent as the licensor. These terms supplement that agreement for the Repose service: your account, designs, purchases and content. Where the two conflict, Apple's agreement governs the licence to the app itself. By using Repose you accept both, and you agree to follow Apple's Media Services terms and OpenAI's usage policies where they apply. You must be old enough to hold an Apple Account and, if you are under the age of majority where you live, have a parent or guardian's permission. The privacy policy explains how your data is handled and forms part of these terms.
2. What Repose is, and is not
Repose turns a photo of a room, garden or exterior into a redesigned version. The image is generated by a third-party model (OpenAI) from your photo, your selection and your instructions. A result is a visual idea. It is not a measured drawing, a structural assessment, a product listing or professional advice. It can move or change details you asked to keep, invent objects that do not exist, and show colours, materials and dimensions that cannot be bought or built as shown. Compare every result with your original before making real changes, and treat the original as the record. Similar or identical results may be generated for other people from similar inputs.
3. Your content and your results
You keep all rights you hold in the photos and reference images you bring into Repose. You grant Lucent only the licence needed to run the service: to store your content for up to seven days, send it to the image provider, and return the result to you. Lucent claims no ownership of the results, and you may use them for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the law and to any rights other people hold in what your photo shows.
You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you upload. Photos should show spaces, not people. Do not use Repose to identify a person, to reproduce someone's likeness without their consent, to misrepresent a property you do not own or have permission to depict, to create misleading listings, or for anything unlawful. Requests may be declined by Repose's safety checks or by OpenAI's usage policies; a declined request returns the design it reserved. If you believe a result infringes your rights, write to us and we will look into it.
4. Your account
Repose creates a private account for you automatically, with no name, email address or password, tied to your device through Apple's App Attest. Your design balance belongs to that account. After a purchase, Apple's signed record of that purchase can restore the account, with its balance, on a new device; before any purchase, the free designs stay with the device they were granted to. Designs are not shared through Family Sharing. Keep your device secure: anyone who can use it can use your designs.
You can delete the account in Settings › Account › Delete online account. Deletion is immediate, cannot be undone, and forfeits any unused designs; it does not affect designs saved on your device and does not cancel an Apple subscription, which you cancel in your Apple Account settings.
Lucent may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service or the image provider, or attempts to interfere with Repose or other users. Unused designs are not refunded in that case.
5. Designs, plans and packs
A design is one completed generation. The rules below are the same ones shown in the app.
- Every new install includes three free designs.
- The weekly plan includes 50 generated designs per paid week and renews automatically until cancelled. Unused weekly designs do not roll over.
- An eligible three-day free trial includes 10 designs total, including unused starter designs. Cancel in Apple subscriptions at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the weekly charge. The purchase screen shows your local price.
- An active trial or paid subscription is required to buy extra designs. Packs are one-time purchases. Purchased designs never expire and remain usable after your subscription ends. Included designs are used first.
- Each completed generation uses one design. Technical failures return the reserved design. Saving, sharing and comparing existing results are free.
Weekly allowances follow Apple's billing periods, not a calendar on your device. Trial eligibility is decided by Apple and is normally available once per Apple Account. The purchase screen has a Restore button that reconnects your Apple purchases to your account.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency and may change for future periods; Apple will tell you before an increase takes effect and, where the law requires, ask for your agreement.
Apple handles all billing, cancellations and refunds under its own terms; Lucent cannot issue refunds itself. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, Repose removes the designs that purchase added. Designs already used from a refunded pack are deducted from your balance, which can fall below zero until a later purchase covers them, and a refunded or revoked subscription ends its remaining designs immediately.
7. Beta software
Until Repose is released on the App Store it is offered through Apple's TestFlight, and Apple's TestFlight terms also apply. Beta versions may change, break or reset without notice, and purchases made in TestFlight use Apple's sandbox and are not charged. Feedback you send through TestFlight may be used to improve Repose.
8. Changes
Repose, its tools, its plans and these terms may change. Changes to these terms take effect when posted at this address with a new effective date; the app links to the current version. Material changes to plans or pricing take effect only for future billing periods and will be announced in the app.
9. Warranties and liability
To the extent the law allows, Repose is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, and Lucent is not liable for decisions, purchases or work carried out on the basis of a generated design, for loss of designs or data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Lucent's total liability to you for any claim relating to Repose is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Lucent through Apple in the twelve months before the claim and the amount stated in Apple's standard licence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live, or liability that cannot be excluded by law. Apple's standard licence contains its own warranty and liability terms for the app itself.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes are heard by the courts of British Columbia, except that if you live elsewhere you keep the protection of, and the right to bring claims under, the mandatory consumer laws and courts of your own country.
